Tüketimin zenginliğinin artan kirlilikle birlikte ilerlediği dünyamızda, dönüşüm ve yeniden kazanım bilinciyle üretim yapmak sanatın geniş bir alanını oluşturmaktadır. Atığın yaşamımızdaki yeri ve önemi tepkisel yaklaşımların aksine sanat alanında anlatımcı tavırla yerini almıştır. Hızlı ve zengin tüketim sonrası ortada kalanları sanat malzemesi olarak kullanmak, çağdaş toplumları çözümlemede farklı parametrelerin olanağını da vermektedir. Tüketim bilincinin hızlı, konforlu, değerli nitelikleriyle örtüşmeyen çöpün, aslında yaşamı kolaylaştıran nesnenin, toplum bilincinde yeniden inşasının olanağı olarak atık malzeme aracılığıyla estetik nitelikte görünürlüğü, sanatın her yerde ulaşılabilirliğine olanak sağlamıştır. Kamusal alanda sanatın ulaşılabilirliği, faydacı niteliğiyle sanatın sorunlara duyarlılık noktasında çözüm getirebildiğine dikkat çekmiştir. Sanat, her dönemde, her mekânda insan etkinliğinin en temel temsilcisi olarak evrenselliğini sorunların tespiti ve çözümleri noktasında gerçekleştirir. Birçok çevre sorunu küresel ölçekli sistemi temel alarak sürdürülebilir atık ve malzeme yönetiminde geri dönüştürülebilirliği teşvik için çalışmaktadır. İnsan kaynaklı atık sorunu bütün canlıları ve gezegeni ilgilendiren bir durumdadır. Atık ve çöpün estetik bir bakış açısıyla sunulması, büyük ölçekli sorunu toplum düzeyinde bilinçlenme ve farkındalık noktasında destekler konumdadır. Bu tez çalışmasında, tüketilen nesnenin atık nesne olarak yaşamımızda yer edinmesi, farklı alanlarda değerlendirilme olasılığının sanatla sağlanabilmesi sorunsalı konu edilmiştir. Atık nesnenin sanat eseri üretimiyle estetik bir nitelik kazanması ve ileri dönüşüm teknikleriyle atığın kirlilik oranlarının en aza indirilebilmesi, sürdürülebilirliğin atık nesne aracılığıyla sanat eserinde yaşatılması ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada, sanatçıların atık malzeme kullanımı tarihsel süreçleriyle birlikte irdelenmiştir; günümüz sanatçılarıyla yapılan röportajlarla atık malzemenin yaratım, duyarlılık, ekonomik ve fiziki kullanım sebepleri sorgulanmıştır. Atık nesnenin dönüşümü ile tüketim nesnesinin metamorfozu hem çalışmanın ilk bölümünde hem de sanatçı röportajlarında incelenmiştir. Tüketim nesnesinin, atık, çöp nesnesi olarak sanat çalışmalarında iletişime geçebildiğimiz yakından kavranarak, değerlendirilecek bir şey olduğu seçilmiş sanatçı görselleriyle de sunulmuştur.

In our world where the richness of consumption progresses with increasing pollution, producing with the awareness of transformation and recovery constitutes a wide field of art. The place and importance of waste in our lives has taken its place in the field of art with an expressive approach, contrary to reactive approaches. Using the leftovers after fast and rich consumption as art materials also provides the opportunity of different parameters in analyzing contemporary societies. The aesthetic visibility of garbage, which does not coincide with the fast, comfortable and valuable qualities of consumption consciousness, but actually the object that makes life easier, through waste material, as a possibility of reconstruction in the social consciousness, has enabled the accessibility of art everywhere. The accessibility of art in the public sphere draws attention to the fact that art, with its utilitarian nature, can bring solutions to problems in terms of sensitivity. Art, as the most fundamental representative of human activity in every period and in every place, realizes its universality at the point of identifying and solving problems. Many environmental issues work to promote recyclability in sustainable waste and material management based on a global-scale system. The human-generated waste problem concerns all living things and the planet. Presenting waste and garbage from an aesthetic perspective supports the large-scale problem in terms of awareness and awareness at the social level. In this thesis, the problem of the consumed object gaining a place in our lives as a waste object and the possibility of being evaluated in different areas through art is discussed. Discussed are the ways in which the waste object gains an aesthetic quality through the production of works of art, minimizing the pollution rates of waste through advanced recycling techniques, and keeping sustainability alive in the work of art through the waste object. In the study, artists' use of waste materials was examined together with their historical processes; The reasons for the creation, sensitivity, economic and physical use of waste material were questioned through interviews with today's artists. The transformation of the waste object and the metamorphosis of the consumption object were examined both in the first part of the study and in artist interviews. It is also presented through selected artist images that the object of consumption is something to be grasped and evaluated closely, with which we can communicate in art works as waste and garbage objects.
